How Flooding can affect your water

With recent heavy rainfall and flooding events in the surrounding area, its recommended to test the quality of your well water if you notice any change in water characteristics e.g. smell, color, clarity. When flooding occurs, it’s possible flood waters could carry debris that could damage well hardware. If the well is not tightly capped, sediment and flood water may enter and contaminate the well. It is important to inspect your well and have your water tested if you notice any changes. Here at ACS we can help you with testing your water if you have suspicion of contamination. Below you will find a helpful chart to help determine what to test for.
